ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – A community meeting slated for September 9 will seek to address pressing issues in the communities of Cane Garden Bay and Brewer’s Bay.

The meeting which is spearheaded by Pastor Claude Skelton Cline and Concerned Citizens of the Cane Garden Bay and Brewer’s Bay will be held at the Cane Garden Bay Community Centre at 6:30 p.m. and will discuss issues of  Maintenance/Repair of road network; inconsistent electricity  supply and public water supply; blocked ponds and ghuts, constant flooding and beach erosion.

According to a press release issued by Mr. Cline, at the meeting a presentation will be made on environmental protection and other related topics to educate the community on the importance of balancing development and the fragile ecosystem.

“It is important that residents come out and give their views and concerns about these or any one issue in the community that is negatively impacting the quality of our lives and our business community. Cane Garden Bay and Brewer’s Bay have always been gems in the crown of Nature’s Secret and we cannot afford to stand by and allow things to go by the wayside. Cane Garden Bay is to Tortola what the Baths is to Virgin Gorda,” Cline stated in the press release.

Persons who would like more information are asked to contact Pastor Claude Skelton Cline at 541-9938.
