EUROPA POINT, Gibraltar- They were favoured to win against Gibraltar; however, the Virgin Islands were blanked 4-nil by the hosts in their international football friendly at Europa Point Stadium on Wednesday, June 3, 2026.

The Virgin Islands conceded their first goal in the 10th minute when Luka E. Challwell played the ball back to his goalkeeper, Toby Whiteside, but ended up slotting it past the keeper.

The second goal for Gibraltar came in the 32nd minute when Tjay De Bar found James Scanlon in the box, and Scanlon put the ball past Whiteside.

It was 3-nil in favour of Gibraltar in the 42nd minute when Leon Mason scored.

Goal number 4 was conceded by the visitors in the 64th minute when Scanlon was assisted by his 44-year-old skipper Lee Casciaro.

The Virgin Islands did well; however, to stop further attacks by Gibraltar, but were unable to get on the scoresheets.

They will now focus on their game against Europa FC on June 6, 2026, at Marbella Centre Stadium in Málaga, Spain.
