VI beat Bonaire 2-0 in international friendly in Spain

MALAGA, Spain- The Virgin Islands bounced back from their 4-0 defeat to Gibraltar on Wednesday to blank Bonaire 2-0 in their international friendly in Spain on Saturday, June 6, 2026.

After a goalless first half, Joshua Bertie and Luka E. Chalwell found the back of the nets.

According to the British Virgin Islands Football Association (BVIFA), the international friendly fixtures were part of the team’s overseas training and preparation camp in Gibraltar and Spain.

These matches formed an important part of the national team’s continued development and international preparation under Head Coach David Perez and his technical staff, the BVIFA stated on May 22, 2026.

    Just the other day I was going to comment after BVI lost to Gibraltar,” how come BVI never win any of the games!” Good thing I reserved my thought and didn’t! Haha . Congrats team BVI! Luka and Josh big up!! Job well done!
