VG Bayside Blazers blow out St Croix on Night 2 of 2026 King of the Courts

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After falling to St Thomas, 96-88, on the opening night of the 2026 King of the Courts Caribbean Basketball Championship on Tuesday, June 2, 2026, VG Bayside Blazers rebounded handsomely to crush St Croix 100-79 on Wednesday, June 4, 2026, at Multi-Purpose Sports Complex.

VG Bayside Blazers showed they were all about business from tip-off, winning the jump ball, and Nicholas D.J. Faust sinking the first points from behind the 3-point arc. St Croix, however, rushed to a 12-6 lead, and it was game on.

VG Bayside Blazers led 23-21 at the end of the First Quarter and stretched that lead to 10 points by the end of the Second Quarter, 53-43.

The defending champions VG Bayside Blazers then exerted their dominance fully in the Third Quarter and led, 80-56, at the end of it.

Faust & foremost!

Faust, who is a new face in the VG Bayside Blazers uniform, ended with a game-high 24 points.

Other top contributors for VG Bayside Blazers were Alante M. Fenner and Arnold M. Louis, who ended with 16 points each. Randy M. George scored 13 points, Anthony J.H. Smith dropped in 12, and Ronald E. Delph put down 11 points.

The leading scorer for St Croix was Jahmai Jones, who ended with 23 points. Kadeem Jones ended with 13 points, while Romani Hansen scored 12.

In other games last night, Santo Domingo defeated Barbuda, 101-63, and Tola edged Statia, 93-92, to remain unbeaten.

Much to play for this evening

Three games are scheduled for this evening, from 7:00 PM.

Game 1 brings together Statia and Barbuda, with the winner advancing and the loser being eliminated.

Game 2 will be between the unbeaten St Thomas and St Croix. If St Croix manages to stage an upset, it will become a 3-way tie with VG, St Croix and St Thomas, and the team to advance will be decided by points difference.

Game 3 will pit Team Tola against Santo Domingo. Both teams are undefeated, and the winner will advance straight to the semi-finals.

$30,000 in cash prize is up for grabs at this year's championship.
