ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Kittian Terrence Charles, who pleaded guilty this morning, Monday December 12, 2011 in the High Court for killing Allen “Tiger” Hodge was moments ago handed down a life sentence.
He will be eligible for possible parole after 20 years.The sentence was handed down by Justice Indra Hariprashad-Charles.
According to court records, Charles shot “Tiger” at his Mayaba home on September 10, 2010, an area off Soldier’s Hill.
Days later, Police confirmed that a 3.8 revolver gun was found at the deceased man’s home and DNA linked the 26 year-old to Hodge’s death.
Charles was a man of interest for many months and was officially arrested and charged with the offence on Sunday June 5, 2011.

my only question is about the motive…… the trial was poorly covered by the media, and the police and prosecution did not impress me

Murder is a mandatory sentence of life it is in the Criminal Code and the parole act allows a time they have to serve before they are CONSIDERED for parole. Parole is not automatic. These people saying bout hang him and insulting the work of the police is wrong. the police and legal systems are not weak the people are cowardly and selfish, so many people see crimes and do not want to say anything and then cuss. you people male me sick. RVIPF good job, it is dangerous out there and these people insulting couldnt do what you do.

well am sure that this man did not act alone in the senseless killing, so am just wondering when are the Police going to get the others, for those of you calling down the police, you should instead give them credit for solving this one and am sure if they get the information they need in others, they will solve many more.
