The Pythons went 7-0 with a 19-3 win over the ESHS Rams to set up a "something has to give" encounter with the 6-0 Crushers next Sunday in the fastpitch league.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Seeing Roy Hill gave up 4 runs in the 3rd to put the Reds 6-5 ahead was enough for Neville Smith to take over the mound and save the Hurricanes’ blushes. Smith allowed just 2 hits in 5 scoreless innings as the Hurricanes held out for 7-6 win!

The Hurricanes leveled at 6-6 in the bottom of the 5th and hit the go ahead single in the 8th to move just a game back of both the Blue Wings and Invaders in the standings.

Byron Parsons homered for the Hurricanes, finishing with 2 runs and an RBI. Kye Rymer added 2 RBI’s

The Reds are now 2 games back of the Hurricanes and face a tricky clash with the VG Ballaz next Sunday in the race for 4th place.

The top of the table match-up between the East Invaders and the Blue Wings was a bit of anti- climax as neither Reynold Corum nor Raymond Mercer had an answer for the mighty hitting of Mahal De Castro and Dwight Brooks.

Mercer gave up 8 runs from 7 hits despite striking out 7 and Corum yielded 4 runs from 4 hits as the Invaders cruised to a 12-5 victory. The win gave the teams identical records atop the league.

De Castro finished with a homer, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI and Brooks added 3 runs and RBI.

The loss for the Wings came on the back of a 13-132 win over the Reds. Raymond Mercer took the win despite giving up 8 runs from 9 hits and only striking out 4. Elroy Hill also had 4 strike outs.

For the Blue Wings, both Levron Sarrauw and Alfred Maduro scored homers as did Leon Martin for the Reds.

In the Ladies Division, something has to give next Sunday when the two teams with unbeaten records go head to head.

Currently, the Pythons are 7 -0 following an easy 19-3 win over the ESHS Rams, but waiting for them are the 6-0 Crushers who were idle this weekend.

For the Pythons, Bria Smith homered and added 2 runs with 3 RBI’s and Riiah Durante scored 3 with 2 RBI’s. Chevaunee Richardson moved to 2-0 from the mound as pitcher.
