Increase in showers possible for VI

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Department for Disaster Management (DDM) is reporting that a tropical wave will continue to cause unsettled weather conditions across the Virgin Islands during the next 24 hours.
It further said that periods of scattered showers, some of which could be heavy at times, could be expected today along with some isolated thunderstorms.
Flash flood watches, it also added, may become necessary by later this evening due to the potential for heavy downpours during that time.
Winds: E-ESE at 12-20kts, gusting higher in showers..
Seas: Moderate to locally rough, swells 1.5-2.1m or 5-7ft. Small craft operators and sea bathers should continue to exercise caution..
