HOH takes chronic diseases to sister islands
Draft strategic framework for the National Policy on Chronic Diseases will be discussed on sister islands
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Members of the Jost Van Dyke and Anegada communities are invited to a series of public meetings to discuss the draft strategic framework for the National Policy on Chronic Diseases, which will be hosted by the Ministry of Health and Social Development.
The meeting on Jost Van Dyke will be held on January 24 at 7 p.m. at the Jost Van Dyke Primary School and on Anegada on January 26, at 10 a.m. at the Emile Dunlop Community Centre.
The document outlines proposed measures to encourage healthy lifestyle choices and to reduce the prevalence of chronic diseases such as cancers, diabetes and heart failure in the Territory.
