ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Today, March 28, 2011, Magistrate Charmaine Rosan-Bunbury granted bail to Ian Thomas aka DJ Commodore in the sum of $20,000 with one signed surety for allegedly having sex with a girl under the age of 16 and rape.
While the matter was held ‘closed door’ in the Magistrate’s Court, VINO was told that he has to return to court on June 1, 2011.
According to VINO’s sources, the incident allegedly occurred on March 21, 2011 when the virtual complainant (VC) missed her bus. The court heard that Mr. Thomas offered her a ride and took her to his home in Josiah’s Bay where he had sex with her without her consent.
The VC is 15 years old.
One of the bail stipulations is that Mr. Thomas stay away from the VC.
