Miss BVI off to Miss Universe

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – All eyes will be glued to the television on 23 August to see the Virgin Islands contestant in the Miss Universe Pageant.
Miss BVI 2009, Josefina Nunez, left the territory today Saturday 7 August to participate in the historic pageant. Newly crowned Miss British Virgin Islands Sheroma Hodge was on hand at the Terrance B. Lettsome International Airport for the send off. She wished Ms. Nunez all the best as she departed for Las Vegas to represent the Virgin Islands in the Miss Universe Pageant 2010.
This will be the first time in eight years the territory has participated in the pageant.
