Archer quits as Music Fest PRO
David Archer
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – David Archer, the Public Relations Officer of the Music Festival Committee, has tendered his resignation due to his hectic schedule as the Permanent Secretary in the Deputy’s Governor’s Office.
VINO made contact with the Committee’s president, Daniel ‘Pops’ Cline who confirmed Mr. Archer’s resignation but was unable to give any more details because of poor telephone connection.
Meanwhile, efforts to contact Mr. Archer today were futile as the response from his office stated that he was away from his desk.
Therefore, the question as to when the resignation was handed in is still unanswered.
The Committee will be embarking on its second year in organising the three-day musical extravaganza which is held on Cane Garden Bay beach in May.

And in an unorthodox move, the Committee is tendering the event whereby the lucky promoter will have overall control or organising and promoting the event.
VINO was reliably informed that the bids for submission will be closed in another week’s time.

Question now, if I’m interested in promoting this event, obviously I would want to make a profit etc. How are they going about this? Any promoter in their right minds would want some cash upfront before signing on to this, how will this be determined? They should’ve left Frank with his event and just make reporting to Government in terms of financing more stringent! I don’t care who’s incharge anyway, I’m looking forward to a GOOD Music Fest this year!!

Good thing he resign cause rumors got it that he wanted a cut of the money paid out and couldn’t get it so he call it quits. Bad Minded people don’t last long at all. As far as i know there is no music fest committee. They were sanctioned through Legco for 2 years and that time is up so how is pops still the president hmmmmm. As for him all of dem is crooks.
