Fourth District to host quick and healthy breakfast and exercise
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – As part of the celebrations for the 3rd Annual Caribbean Wellness Day celebrations, the Fourth District will be hosting a Health and Wellness Walk and Breakfast on Saturday September 11, at the Noel Lloyd Park starting at 4:30 a.m.
The event which is spearheaded by 4th District Representative Dr. Vincent Scatliffe and committee members in collaboration with the Ministry of Health is celebrated under the District Four community slogan “Quick and Healthy Breakfast & Exercise”.
After the walk, everyone is asked to regroup at the Noel Lloyd Park to partake and learn how to make quick and affordable healthy Breakfast, enjoy health talk and educational materials, witness demonstrations of quick exercise routines and gain awareness of health issues in the community and how the prevent and care for them
Caribbean Wellness Day is observed annually on the second Saturday in September. The purpose of the day is to heighten awareness of some of the risk factors associated with chronic non-communicable diseases and to help mobilize a sustained response to reduce chronic non-communicable diseases such as diabetes, high blood pressure, heart disease and cancer, which are on the increase in the territory.
