August Monday Parade 'has nothing to do with our emancipation’- Hon Hodge-Smith
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Concerns have arisen among Virgin Islanders following an announcement by the Junior Minister for Culture and Tourism, Honourable Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4), regarding the announcement to move the August Monday Parade to Saturday.
August Monday Parade to shift to Saturday- Hon Hodge-Smith
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Junior Minister for Culture and Tourism Honourable Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4) has announced that this year’s Emancipation Festival will conclude with the Emancipation Parade, meaning the parade will now be held on the Saturday after August Monday.
Rise and Shine & Parade 'can no longer be on same day'- Hon Luce D. Hodge-Smith
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– The Junior Minister for Culture and Tourism, Honourable Luce D. Hodge-Smith (R4), has announced that discussions will begin regarding changing the date for the Parade and the Rise and Shine Tramp, as the two events currently occur on the same day.
