LEE ROAD, Virgin Gorda, VI - The Virgin Islands’ first family of Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Honourable Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) and First Lady Mrs Carolyn M. Shallow-Wheatley were in full attendance at the Virgin Gorda Festival parade on Monday, April 1, 2024.

The first couple walked most of the parade route as they greeted residents who were very happy to see and interact with the fourth Premier and the lovely First Lady.

It has been tradition over the years at the Virgin Gorda Easter Festival to see other Premiers and their wives including the late Ralph T. O’Neal OBE, and former Premiers Dr D. Orlando Smith OBE and  Mr. Andrew A. Fahie to have a presence.

The runling Virgin Islands Party via its Ninth District committee also had a float in the 2024 parade.

Premier Wheatley has been at the helm of Government for two years following the arrest of Mr. Fahie in 2022 and the General Elections of 2023.

I agree that the festival should be one week after holy Easter. I guess the Government doesn't want another public Monday holiday right after Easter Monday.

No matter what you do someone will always find something to complain about. HE WAS THERE! Among the people, rubbing shoulders with them. I had a chance to speak with him and it was a great experience. I do not see him only by his name but by the office he holds. Give respect where it is due. God bless this country and guide our leaders.

We hardly see him, and when we see him we must what? Kiss his feet. Please. See how many times he will fly after he is no longer in office.

Sitting on the cover of a cooler in the back of an old, raggedy, beat up truck. This pretty much sums up this guy's leadership and the state of our country.

Go ahead!! Keep disrespecting and bad-mouthing the Premier and his family!!! When UK send in a white, racist to be the Premier, I guess then aryou will understand aryou onion!
