35 awarded @ His Majesty King Charles III Birthday Parade & Celebration



Governor Daniel Pruce received the royal salute from members of the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF).
His Majesty’s Prison, Virgin Islands Fire and Rescue Service, His Majesty’s Customs, Immigration Department, Francis Lettsome Primary, St George’s Primary, Bregado Flax Educational Centre Secondary Division, Royal Virgin Islands Yacht Club, The Boys and Girls Brigade, BVI Seventh-day Adventist Pathfinders, Girl Guides, among other uniformed groups took place in the march-past.
Governor Pruce read the traditional exchange to mark the birthday of His Majesty the King, in which he conveyed warm wishes from the people of the Virgin Islands on the occasion of His Majesty’s birthday.
Medals of Long Service & Good Conduct
Thirty-five individuals received medals for long service and good conduct during the celebrations. The medals were awarded as follows:
- Eight Overseas Territories Police Medals for Long Service and Good Conduct for 18 years of service
- Seven First Clasp to the Overseas Territories Police Long Service Medals for 25 years of service
- One Second Clasp to the Overseas Territories Police Long Service Medals for 30 years of service
- Two Overseas Territories Fire and Rescue Brigade Medals for Long Service and Good Conduct for their 18 years of service
- Three Overseas Territories Fire and Rescue Brigade Medals for Long Service and Good Conduct for their 25 years of service
- Fourteen Governor’s Meritorious Service Awards (4 Department of Immigration officers and 10 His Majesty’s Customs officers)
