USVI records 1st breakthrough COVID-19 death

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- The [US] Virgin Islands Department of Health on Monday, September 13, 2021, announced that a USVI resident who was fully vaccinated against COVID-19 died of complications related to the virus last week, the first such breakthrough case in the territory.

Bryan Jr has told the Consortium, a sign that the Delta variant-induced surge in active infections and rising Covid-related deaths in the territory are pushing US Virgin Islanders to get vaccinated against the virus.
Total active COVID cases in VI down to 46
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After experiencing a spike in COVID-19 cases that topped 1,600 active cases over a month ago, the Virgin Islands continues to see a reduction in infections, with the total active cases now down to 46.
