Delta Plus COVID variant identified in VI
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Acting Chief Medical Officer (CMO), Dr Roland E. Georges on December 24, 2021, announced that of a batch of 24 COVID-19 samples sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) for genetic typing, one of the samples was identified as the Delta Plus variant.
COVID-19 sample from VI tests positive for Delta variant
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After initial samples tested at the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in July 2021 had shown no variants of concern, the Ministry of Health and Social Development has now confirmed that one COVID-19 sample has tested positive for the Delta variant.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The ten (10) samples sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in Trinidad and Tobago on Friday, April 24, 2020 have all tested negative for COVID-19, the Ministry of Health and Social Development has announced.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Two of the 3 persons tested positive for COVID-19 in the Virgin Islands have now tested negative locally; however, the Territory will send the samples for verification by the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA).
VI now awaiting 17 COVID-19 test results
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Another eight samples from the Virgin Islands have been sent to the Caribbean Public Health Agency (CARPHA) in Trinidad to test for COVID-19, bringing the total awaiting test results to 17.
