Governor Rankin’s departure delayed until January 2024
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Word reaching our news cente from sources in Government House is that the Governor, John J. Rankin, CMG will no longer depart at the end of December 2023 as was previously scheduled, but instead will be leaving the territory around the middle of January 2024.
David D. Archer Jr is Acting Governor until John J. Rankin sworn in
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- With the departure of controversial Governor Mr Augustus J. U. Jaspert for the final time on January 23, 2021, Deputy Governor Mr David D. Archer, Jr has been sworn in as Acting Governor of the Virgin Islands.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After becoming highly controversial following insensitive statements regarding reparations for slavery and frequent antagonism against the elected Government of the Virgin Islands, the Virgin Islands would have been glad to see the back of Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert this year end; however, it will have to bear up with his presence in the territory until January 2021.
Seen as a failure, RDA boss Paul D. Bayly in final days!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Mr Paul D. Bayly, the man who came from New Zealand to head the Virgin Islands Recovery and Development Agency (RDA) and was paid some $300,000 plus a year, which is more than the Premier and Minister of Finance makes, more than what the Speaker of the House of Assembly (HoA) earns and even more than his boss the Chairman of the RDA Board Dr Robert A. Mathavious collects, is reportedly leaving the Territory tomorrow, Tuesday, March 17, 2020.
