Women engage in fist fight at Carrot Bay Festival

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI – Even as First District Representative Hon. Andrew A. Fahie cited the disrespect associated with persons fighting during the Emancipation Festival and its relevance to fore parents of Virgin Islanders, persons continued to settle matters with their fists at the end of the Emancipation Festival in Carrot Bay on August 10, 2013.

WCK, Planet VI & Destra ‘mash up’ Carrot Bay!

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI – “Queen of Bacchanal, Destra come again!” and “We gon mash up, mash up, mash up, mash up everything” were some of the words from Destra Garcia’s 2013 song ‘Mash Up’ as she certainly returned to the Virgin Islands to “mash up” Carrot Bay with her energy. However, this time she was ably joined by the well loved Planet VI aka Rock City and WCK of Dominica at the Benito Potter Festiville last evening, August 9, 2013.

Belly full of laughter at Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta!

CARROT BAY, Tortola, VI- It was not so much about the married women defeating the single women at tug-war or who won the donkey races but more about the tons of excitement and humour offered during the novelty events and the entertainment offered by the hilarious announcer Craig Lake aka DJ Push Pop who continuously tickled the crowd to delirium with his jokes during the Carrot Bay Cultural Fiesta at the Benito Potter Festiville on August 9, 2013.
