From Social to Natural Disasters:

As we leave the Month of Seniors and enter the Hurricane Season we can never predict the future but based on the treatment of our Seniors we should prepare ourselves for any disaster especially when, on the last day of Seniors recognition, our Local Leaders (sans Archie’s late arrival) couldn’t spare time or effort to visit the Home for the Elderly as a token of appreciation.

Senior fishermen honoured as part of Senior Citizens' Month

UPDATE: Work progressing apace for construction of new home for the elderly

SPOONER'S ESTATE, Tortola, VI- Works are progressing apace for the construction of the new Adina Donovan Home for the Elderly at Spooner's Estate with the retaining walls on the property being 95% complete. This is according to Carolyn Stoutt Igwe, Deputy Secretary Ministry of Health and Social Development.

Stapleton spared jail time, found guilty of stealing

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – In the High Court this afternoon July 6, 2012, Henrietta Stapleton was found guilty on 47 counts of theft for allegedly stealing more than $50,000 that was paid to her for a senior citizens cruise.
