Kevin 'OJ' Smith gets senior appointment with Digicel
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Virgin Islands News Online can confirm that Virgin Islander Kevin C. Smith aka 'OJ' will soon be appointed the new Commercial and Operations Director of Digicel BVI. Mr Smith will be replacing Ms Su Thomas who recently left the company after her contract came to an end.

UPDATE: CCT's GSM network fully restored!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - CCT has announced in a press release issued today, January 12, 2013, that communication between the GSM switch and the cellular sites has been fully restored, and all services are being moved to their own network. Additionally, CCT stated that it will soon announce a special promotion as a sincere apology to its customer base.
UPDATE: Digicel to the rescue as CCT asks for help
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - “We are pleased to advise that interim emergency arrangements have been put in place with local carriers to restore CCT’s GSM voice and text services to our customers.” This is according to a release from CCT today January 1, 2013. A statement which comes in the wake of its competitor, Digicel BVI, making their support of CCT’s customers public.
Digicel announces $10,000 winner
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After four attempts to customers who didn’t answer their phone, one Fiona Rose picked up her phone to hear Su Thomas, Digicel's Commercial Manager saying “You have won $10,000 from Digicel”. After a stunned silence, Ms Rose, originally from Guyana, dashed from Bobby’s Supermarket to the Flagship Store on Waterfront Drive to claim her prize.
