Digicel announces $10,000 winner

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- After four attempts to customers who didn’t answer their phone, one Fiona Rose picked up her phone to hear Su Thomas, Digicel's Commercial Manager saying “You have won $10,000 from Digicel”. After a stunned silence, Ms Rose, originally from Guyana, dashed from Bobby’s Supermarket to the Flagship Store on Waterfront Drive to claim her prize.

Staff and customers alike watched on as a delighted Fiona realized that this wasn’t a hoax call and that she was really the person to win the big prize this Christmas. 

After shedding some tears of joy and dancing through the store, the lucky lady exclaimed to DJ Paul ‘Gadeithz’ Peart "I woke up this morning and was broke, but today I am blessed. I will be sending the money to my family to finish the house we are building. Thank you Digicel, the bigger, better network." 

Thomas spoke of her delight in being able to make such a special Christmas for Ms Rose and her family. “It really makes a special day for us all at Digicel to be sharing such delight with our customers; I congratulate Ms Rose on her luck and hope she has a very Happy Christmas.”
