The summer promotion motorcade was scheduled to move through the streets of Tortola yesterday June 26, 2013 but was postponed due to inclement weather. However, there was no holding back today.

"Any customer that tops up $15 or more, pays their bill on time, activates a data plan or joins the Digicel family is eligible for a chance to win prizes," said Digicel's Commercial Manager Ms Su Thomas.

The promotion will see customers winning a number of prizes every week leading up to the grand prize drawing scheduled for the end of August.

Among the many prizes that would be given away on a weekly basis are laptops, tablets, tickets for the CPL T/20 cricket matches in Antigua and Trinidad and cell phones. "Each week eight persons will win something, either a big thing or a small prize. That’s over two months and then on the 22nd of August we have the grand finale for the SUV," Ms Thomas noted.

The curiosity of many persons was captured along the route of the motorcade, which moved from East End all the way to the flagship store in the heart of Road Town. The motorcade also stopped at a number of vantage points where the Digicel promoters engaged motorists and bystanders.

Thomas said she anticipates a very hectic summer and a Territory of satisfied customers.

Meanwhile, the winners from today's promotion will be announced on Zrod FM's Morning Ride Show tomorrow June 28, 2013.
