Police identify USVI men murdered in Friday shootings

CHRISTIANSTED, St Croix, USVI - Police on Saturday August 26, 2017 revealed the identities of two men murdered in separate shooting incidents Friday August 25, 2017 on St Croix. The deceased victim of the first incident, which occurred in Old Fredensborg near the Kingshill Cemetery and adjacent to the Alfredo Andrews Elementary School, has been identified as 24-year-old Jensen Esptan.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI— A bill sponsored by US Virgin Islands (USVI) Senator Sammuel Sanes that is seeking to add new language to a current law regarding juveniles who commit murder, sparked passionate debate between opponents and proponents of the measure during a Rules Committee hearing on Thursday, June 22, 2017 among them testifiers and senators alike, arguing for and against the changes.
UPDATE: Arrest made in relation to latest murder in East End
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- At least one person has been arrested in relation to the murder of David Springette aka ‘Mooney’.
Springette was shot and killed in Fat Hogs Bay on June 21, 2017, bringing the number of homicide in the Virgin Islands to a record 7 in 6 months.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Allegations presented in the Magistrates Court on June 16, 2017 before Magistrate Vareen Vanterpool suggest that the man wanted for the murder of Frankie J. Fahie was after the $2,000 cash, $3,000 gold chain and a watch belonging to Mr Jeffery Quigley, who was a patron at Fahie Boy Bar/FB bar in Long Look, Tortola on that fateful night in January 2017.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI– Police today, June 11, 2017 officially charged Lennox Franklyn Da Silva aka 'Ocho', 52, of Greenland, on the main island of Tortola, with murder in relation to the death of his wife.

Body of Shaun H. Richards yet to be released for burial
LONG LOOK, Tortola VI- It was on Saturday May 6, 2017 around 10:20 PM that 22 year old Shaun H. Richards was said to be sitting outside his home in Long Look on Tortola when a lone gunman allegedly came up to him and fired at least 2 gun shots at him.
