VI will continue pushing for removal of reserved Order in Council– Premier tells UN C-24
NEW YORK, NY, USA– Virgin Islands Premier and Minister of Finance, Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) says the [British] Virgin Islands will continue pressing the United Kingdom (UK) to remove its reserve Order in Council to suspend the local constitution if triggered.

Premier announced 2024 Environment Month Green Pledge Drive

VI urges UN climate chief on support as active hurricane season gets underway
ST JOHN’S Antigua- Premier and Minister of Finance Dr the Hon Natalio D. Wheatley (R7) has urged the Executive Secretary of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC) Mr Simon E.K. Stiell on support to the [British] Virgin Islands (VI) to help in the response to the negative impacts of climate change as the islands face stronger and more frequent storms, heavier rains, flash flooding and sea level rise.
August CoI reform deadline ‘realistic & achievable’– Premier
