Garabato captures STT Pre-Carnival feature race
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI - Garabato won today’s March 20, 2016 feature race at Clinton E. Phipps Race Track in St Thomas, USVI ahead of the much touted Pumped Up Kicks and Simon Sez Run to capture the $5,200 purse in the Pre-Carnival 2016 races.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI – Come Sunday March 20, 2016, the Clinton E. Phipps Race Track in St Thomas, US Virgin Islands will come alive with a number of horses from St Thomas and St Croix competing for various purses and the invaluable bragging rights.
16 year old USVI lad already a champion horse owner
CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI – At the age of 16, Lionel A. Vanterpool of St Thomas, USVI is already a race winning horse owner and groom having lead his mare City Splendour to victory. He is also involved in the grooming of champion horse Pumped Up Kicks and his involvement in the well-loved sport could spawn a new wave of young supporters to keep it alive.
