Man arrested after assaulting mother of his child @ bus stop in STT


CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- Shortly after 6:00 am on Monday, march 10, 2020, Jose A. Garcia, Jr, 28, of Hospital Ground, St Thomas, US Virgin Islands (USVI), was arrested and charged with simple assault, domestic violence after assaulting a woman at a bus stop, according to the [US] Virgin Islands Police Department (VIPD).

STT man arrested for machine gun, extended magazine possession


ST. THOMAS, USVI — John Michael Burgos, 20, of St. Thomas, appeared on Thursday, February 27, 2020, before U.S. Magistrate Judge Ruth Miller for an arraignment on an indictment charging him with unlawful possession of a machinegun, United States Attorney Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced. After a detention hearing held the same day, Judge Miller ordered Burgos detained.

'Santo' fined $750 for beating up relative in VG bar

Baptiste-DaBreo on Thursday, February 20 2020, fined a man from the Dominican Republic $750 for fighting with his relative and punching him in his left eye. The fined has to be paid by March 31, 2020 or the defendant will be incarcerated for 60 days at Her Majesty’s Prison (HMP).
