Tortola man faces imprisonment for cocaine smuggling @ King Airport

ST THOMAS, USVI — Ashley Warner, 54-years, of Tortola, Virgin Islands (VI) pleaded guilty today in District Court before District Court Judge Curtis V. Gomez, to conspiracy and possession of cocaine with the intent to distribute, United States Attorney Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced.

ST THOMAS, USVI - After being delayed multiple times, early voting began on Wednesday and, according to Election System Supervisor Caroline Fawkes, the process was successful, with well over 300 residents territory-wide casting their ballots for their candidates of choice ahead of the August 4 Democratic primary.

Illegal Dominican Native pleads guilty to possession of firearm in STT

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St. Thomas, VI- Lester Gabriel Charles, 35, pleaded guilty before District Judge Curtis V. Gomez to possession of a firearm by an illegal alien, United States Attorney Gretchen Shappert announced. Charles sentencing is scheduled for November 15, 2018.

ST. THOMAS, USVI — A Caucasian man is facing 75 years in prison under local hate crime laws after threatening bodily and property harm to an interracial couple living on Water Island, Attorney General Claude Walker made known during a brief press conference in St. Thomas Friday afternoon.

US & USVI FLAGS @ King Airport replaced with black ‘Allah’ flags

ST THOMAS, USVI — Federal Bureau of Investigation detectives along with V.I.P.D. officers descended on the entrance of the Cyril E. King Airport this morning, after it was discovered that the USA, US Virgin Islands (USVI) and nine other flags that normally hang high on a welcome monument at the beginning of the road heading to the airport, were replaced with black flags bearing the name “Allah” on them.
