Government to enforce Insurance Obligations but what about the others?
For more than half a year we have argued that Government should ensure Insurance Companies meet their obligations to Clients and we are finally hearing of steps being taken in that direction… That would be good but it still leaves the Price Gouging and Unfair Practices that have been perpetrated by Landlords and Suppliers on Hurricane Victims or just about every VI Resident.

Time is running out, we are still in the midst of Recovery Efforts and this is hardly the time to indulge in National Holidays we cannot afford and that only serve to push us backward rather than forward… Just a week ago we did HLS Holiday and we are now called on to celebrate Commonwealth Day and, while Persons appear quick to welcome these non-productive events, few know their basic origin or meaning.

It’s over 6-months since Hurricane Irma destroyed Satellite Dishes, toppled Radio Towers and severed our On-Air connections but thanks to VINO my views were kept alive via ‘Truth for the Youth’ Articles. These Hurricanes dropped us in a time zone of Natural and man-made disasters and along with the forces of evil and Impediments we encountered, I applaud your ability to survive in what is ‘our worst of times’.
Six months of crying out for help just to suffer in silence

Life is a journey and we are travelers for better or worse:
It is almost 6 months post hurricane and a journey from East to West and North to South still shows the devastating effects of Hurricanes Irma and Maria… Vivid details are still fresh in everyone’s mind and each have stories to tell but their stories are the same as yours and mine because we were all in this together and while no one expected miracles most believe
there should be far more progress.

Crawling or Stepping into the New Year:
A brand-new year but the old wounds linger - With no New Year Fireworks in the Road Harbour, our National Hero, Noel Lloyd, lying broken and prostrate in a desolate and powerless Park and so many signs that our People still need all the help they can get, it is a glimmer of positivity to be told that some of the Easements we said would aid in the recovery of our Territory have finally been granted.

December… As we count down the final month of this year our tradition of welcoming Christmas with celebrations of Joy and a New Year with outpouring of Hope, have been threatened by the aftermath of Hurricanes Irma and Maria… A dose of Reality makes it difficult to forget the past, find comfort in the present and prepare for the future – Pretending otherwise simply brings more problems than solutions.
It does not have to get worse before getting better

The past 12-months have been terrible for many of us who have lost Spouses, Homes and Livelihood but there is no turning back the hands of time… As a Writer, right or wrong, things I say, are there for all to see and I am fortunate not to have misled you even in the classic case of Trump’s mis-Election where, what you are now seeing and hearing is what I explained to you over a year ago… (You may check this).

Thanks to those who have helped in this time of need and let’s not be overly critical if we receive less than we were promised – That is the game of Politics and we do not know their most recent situation – Maybe they are worse off now or maybe they are Persons whom we discriminated against in the past… What is far more important is whether we help each other and thereby help ourselves.
