UPDATE: Police release names of 5 persons charged in recent drug busts

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Police have now revealed that charges have been laid against the captain and crew of the two vessels intercepted on Thursday October 25, 2012 when officers of the Special Investigations Unit and the Marine Branch led an operation that resulted in the seizure of more than 560kg of marijuana and 6kg of cocaine.

Jamaican national facing rape charges; on $70,000 bail

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- In an indictable matter brought before the Magistrate's Court on August 22, 2012, Jamaican national and resident of the Virgin Islands, Anthony Alexander, who is currently facing rape charges brought against him by the Crown, was placed on $70,000 bail with a $10,000 cash component and two sureties.

Asson beats Carr to win Beef Island Ceres Juices 10k

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - On Saturday July 21, 2012, 42 runners, the largest field in the 10k Ceres so far this season, lined up on the beach at Beef Island with Steve Asson eventually holding off James Carr to take the win in 40 minutes, 38.51 seconds.
