Travis J. Osbourne arrested & charged for firearms possession- RVIPF

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – Two firearms have been seized and one person has been arrested, following an early morning raid in Carrot Bay on Thursday, June 15, 2023.

Travis J. Osbourne, 29, was taken into custody yesterday along with a revolver and shotgun found at his residence in Carrot Bay. He was subsequently charged with two counts of keeping an unlicenced firearm.

The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) in a press release today, June 16, 2023, said the early morning operation was carried out by members of the RVIPF Armed Response and the Special Investigation Teams.

RVIPF appeals to public to get involved in saving lives

The RVIPF said it is continuing to do its part to reduce the number of illegal firearms on the streets and to capture those in possession of the weapons.

The Force is appealing to the public to get involved in saving lives and keeping the community safe by providing information on suspected persons or the locations where these firearms are being hidden or imported.

It said persons can confidentially call the Crime Stoppers line 800-8477 (TIPS) or overseas call 1-284-800-8477 with the relevant information or contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339.

      @Death Mask, gun charges here will get you some serious time, especially if you have ammunition, additional this isint his first offense he has been sentenced to jali time before so I don't see him getting a slap on the wrist, he mill be gone for at least 10 years minimum, but then again public prosecution doesn't win any cases so you might be right.
