SKN native charged following firearm recovery in Fahie Hill area

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- A St. Kitts and Nevis native was charged by the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) following an intelligence-led police operation conducted on Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in the Fahie Hill area.

Alex Archibald, arrested during the operation, was formally charged with Keeping an Unlicensed Firearm, Unlawful Possession of Explosives, and Possession of a Controlled Drug, a press release from the RVIPF on Friday, Janaury 2, 2025, stated. 

The charges came following the execution of a search warrant at a residential property, where officers recovered a Glock firearm along with thirty-one (31) rounds of 9mm ammunition. Officers also seized approximately 8.82 grams of marijuana, along with other items of evidential value.

RVIPF committed to combating illegal firearms & drugs

The RVIPF reiterated its commitment to combat illegal firearms and drug-related activity and continues to work diligently to ensure the safety and security of all communities across the Territory.

Members of the public who may have information that can assist with ongoing investigations are encouraged to contact the RVIPF Intelligence Unit at 368-9339, call 311, or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at 800-8477 (TIPS) or 284-800-8477 from overseas. 

The RVIPF assured that all information will be treated with the strictest confidence.

    The police and immigration should visit those Jamaicans living in east end. I went to a jamdown party about 3 weeks ago and was shocked to see at least 3 young jamdown brandishing firearms. No real security or police presence. I took that as my clue to go home.
