ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Two men have been ordered deported from the Virgin Islands (VI) after being convicted and served time for various offences.

Governor Daniel Pruce has ordered Jerome St Elmore Mapp and Pedro Mercedes Soto “be placed on board the first available ship or aircraft about to leave the Territory,” according to the Deportation Order gazetted October 14, 2025.

Mapp was convicted of the offence of having sexual intercourse with a girl under the age of thirteen years.

Soto was convicted of the offence of possession of a controlled drug.

The Deportation Order was made on October 7, 2025.

The nationality of both men was not disclosed in the Order.

    they need to do this for every non-national after completion of their prison sentences. no exceptions at all

    It have more that need to be deported plus it have some of them from the prison they spend enough time and the place overcrowded. Just saying.

    okay so what will you do with a slow cour case and so much persons on remand. Keeping them up there is not solving the issue. Find other ways of punishment.

    We need to deport all belongers charged and convicted of crimes. Belongership is privilege and if you don't respect the place and people that have accepted you, you need to go. It's bad enough we have to accept our own criminals, but not those too. No, no, no.

    Now deport all these folks with guns.

    Then we going to need a bigger prison that the premier doesn't want.

    We will need to keep letting those Entrepreneurial, business owners with children off with a warning then so they can have another chance at killing.
