Catamaran hits reef off Anegada; VISAR & US Coast Guards respond

THE SETTLEMENT, Anegada, VI- In a swift and coordinated rescue operation, the Coast Guard and Virgin Islands Search and Rescue (VISAR) successfully saved three individuals from a distressed catamaran off Anegada in the [British] Virgin Islands on Thursday morning, March 7, 2024.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- The US Coast Guard on Wednesday, October 4, 2023, executed a swift rescue operation on Wednesday morning, saving 12 individuals from the M/V Bonnie G, a vessel that ran aground and began taking on water just south of the St Thomas airport.

ST. CROIX, USVI - United States Attorney, Gretchen C.F. Shappert announced today, December 3, 2018, that Mohamed Hoseain, age 70, and Richard La Cruz, age 51, both of Guyana, pleaded guilty on November 28, 2018, in federal court to possession of cocaine on board a vessel.
