UPDATE: BVIEC workers grateful for Asphalt Plant’s quick response
POCKWOOD POND, Tortola, VI – Workers who had contacted this news site complaining about the emitting of pollutants from the nearby Asphalt Plant which had negatively affected them are now singing praises for the company’s prompt response.

FISH BAY, Tortola, VI- “Sometimes we does literally be biting heavy dust when you see they start up that plant.” This was the comment of one worker at the Government owned Asphalt Plant, and his expression was echoed by several other workers and persons living in the area.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The issue of the Virgin Islands’ Asphalt Plant has caught the attention of an international scientist who admonishes that the Government carefully examines a number of factors relating to the longevity of the plant, evidence of its effects on the health of persons, water, air or soil.
