Activist wants breakfast & lunch programme in public schools
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Outspoken local resident Kishma V.S. Penn wants the Virgin Islands Government to implement a breakfast and lunch programme in public schools to assist struggling families.

Social Media shines light on brutal fights @ USVI public schools

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Last week a number of videos circulated on social media of fights at the St. Croix Central High School. The brawls almost resembled riots, as throngs of students — both male and female at various locations of the school — engaged in dangerous physical battles, some of them in groups, as they rushed, kicked and punched each other.
UPDATE: Possible elimination of exams not discussed by Cabinet – Premier
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The subject of whether local Primary Five or secondary school leaving exams will be discontinued has not been raised with Cabinet Members, according to Premier Dr The Hon. D Orlando Smith.
Public schools to resume except schools used as Advance Polling Day stations
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- The Ministry and Department of Education and Culture is informing parents, teachers and students that all public schools will reopen tomorrow, Friday, November 4th except for the Alexandrina Maduro and the Enid Scatliffe Pre-Primary Schools which will remain closed to facilitate the Advance Polling Day process.
