ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - With the Cabinet imposed 24/7 lockdown now in effect for the Virgin Islands (VI) starting 8:00pm yesterday, Friday, March 27, 2020, and running until April 2, 2020, as part of its Novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) response, Governor Augustus J. U. Jaspert has urged all to remain at home and abide by the curfew.
RVIPF arrests first curfew violator
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) has made its first arrest of a resident for allegedly defying the mandated 8:00pm Territory-wide curfew which was in effect on Thursday, March 26, 2020, up until 6:00am Friday, March 27, 2020.

WEST END, Tortola, VI- It was just before 10:00 PM last night Wednesday November 22, 2017 when three persons were heading back to Road Town from West End on Tortola in a white Suzuki Jeep when the three persons, an adult male and a female, along with an 11 year old girl, came under fire.

Prison Officer allegedly attacked by inmate in HMP brawl today!
BALSAM GHUT, Tortola, VI- Word reaching our newsroom from our Team of Reporters around the Virgin Islands is that today January 2, 2017 there was a reported incident of an inmate getting into a physical fight with a prison guard at the state-owned penitentiary located at Balsam Ghut on the main island of Tortola.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) Public Relations Department and sources close to the Prison Officer, Rohan Fagan, who was stabbed while on duty by a prison inmate at Her Majesty’s Prison, Balsam Ghut, Tortola, on Sunday February 15, 2015 has been discharged from hospital.
