USVI Delegate Plaskett snubs President Obama on Cuba trip invitation

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI — Delegate to Congress in the US Virgin Islands, Stacey E. Plaskett said on Wednesday March 16, 2016 that she has refused an invitation from President Barack H. Obama to take the historic trip to Cuba with him, opting instead to attend a previously scheduled panel discussion on this islands with members of Congress and business executives in the technology sector on March 19, 2016 at the Buccaneer Hotel and Resort.

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- United States Virgin Islands Delegate to Congress Stacey E. Plaskett has issued a statement on US President Barack H. Obama’s planned visit to Cuba next month, coming on the heels of a deal signed on Tuesday February 16, 2016 between the United States and Cuba.
