Pre-Primary Sports a great success
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The VI Sports 4 Life Organisation held a highly successful Pre-Primary School Games Day on Friday May 27, 2016 with 21 Schools and hundreds of boys and girls enjoying competition across various events.
Local Media Houses lose employees as they struggle to remain competitive
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- It is not often that the media turns its lenses on itself to report on the ‘going ons’ in the media world. The media companies in the Virgin Islands, like any other business, goes through its ‘ups and downs’ and within the past year the three main online news sites (Virgin Islands News Online, BVI Platinum and BVI News) have lost some of their journalists (reporters) to most often greener pastures and are in the process of recruiting their replacements.

The regulatory mechanism is controlled by the wealthy and powerful. This is the tiny number of people at the pinnacle of the Virgin Islands social and economic pyramid. They own and manage the telecoms businesses. They also possess enormous political clout. These people profess to be business minded: in reality they are weary of real competition. Competition will eat into their bottom line.
'MMA in Paradise 4' on this Saturday
