VI Athletes active in Youth Olympic Games
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China officially began with the completion of the spectacular Opening Ceremony last Saturday August 16, 2014 and already the majority of the athletes representing the Territory have seen active competition.
VIslander Nelda Huggins advances to IAAF World Jr Semis
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Nelda Huggins became the second Virgin Islands female athlete to advance to the semifinal of an IAAF World Jr. Championships sprint event in the Territory’s history, when she reached the 200m semifinal on Thursday July 24, 2014 in Eugene, Oregon.

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Virgin Islands’ quartet of Nelda Huggins, Karene King, Chantel Malone and Ashley Kelly finished 7th in the B Final of the 4 x 100m at the World Relays in Nassau, Bahamas on Saturday May 24, 2014.
Huggins picks up VI’s 1st Carifta 2014 Medal!
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – VI Sprinter Nelda Huggins grabbed the Bronze Medal in the U18 100m at the 43rd Carifta Games in Fort de France, Martinique with a new Personal Best time of 11.64 seconds to finish behind Jamaican Simone Shaw and Janae Ambrose.
