Teen charged with four counts of burglary

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - Officers of the Criminal Investigations Department have charged Rockey Haripershad, 18, with burglarizing three businesses and attempted to burgle a fourth within close proximity to his place of residence in Purcell Estate.

According to a release from the Royal Virgin Islands Police Force (RVIPF) today March, 19, 2019, the teenager was charged with illegally entering Cabbage Beauty Spa, Fort Gardens Centre, Bobb’s Gas Station and attempting to illegally enter One-Mart Superstore within a two-week timespan. The burglary spree ended with his arrest over the weekend.

He is being held for an appearance in Magistrate’s Court at the next available sitting.

Investigations are ongoing in the matter.

    Our home used to be so peaceful.. didn’t have to worry about persons breaking into your home n businesses etc.. the days of feeling free are long gone.. influx of different people, drugs, dirty lucre etc..
