MIAMI, Florida, USA - Premier and Minister of Finance, Honourable Andrew A. Fahie (R1) had an official meeting with Mayor of Miami, Florida, Francis X. Suarez on April 11, 2019, to discuss some diplomatic relations between the US State and the People of the Virgin Islands (VI).

Premier Fahie was at the time leading a VI delegation to the Seatrade Cruise Global 2019 Conference in Miami comprising of Minister for Transportation, Works and Utilities, Honourable Kye M. Rymer (R5) and Junior Minister for Tourism, Honourable Shereen D. Flax-Charles (AL) along with other local representatives from within the Tourism/Ports sectors.

As part of the mission, the Premier said that his plans were to device long term business partnerships and to seek advice and co-operation in improving the Territory’s tourism products and noted that the discussions were fruitful and can see some future benefits for the people of the territory.

Mr Suarez was elected on November 7, 2017, as Mayor of Miami having received a whopping 86 per cent of all votes cast.

      Not only that. This guy hasn’t spent a solid week at his desk since being elected. What a ting to tell the King! Miami will do what for us now? That it isn’t doing already? Is Miami independent?? If he meets Trump then I might say ok what’s he trying to do here? Other this is just a damn photo op!!
