PURCELL ESTATE, Tortola, VI - These garbage disposal photos have been sent around by the Six District representative, Hon Alvera Maduro-Caines. The unsightly garbage is in her district and it is reported that the bins were removed from the location to facilitate a new business.

It has been met with the outrage of Mrs Maduro-Caines who was not informed of the removal of the bins from the junction of Canine and Purcell roads.

Her concerns remain what will happen now with all the Christmas garbage expected to be generated by residents in the area.

Citizens say, situations like these highlight how dysfunctional the National Democratic Party (NDP1), continues to be.

We are all island people so who are you referring to? The bottom line is government need to have enough bins in place for every community. Where are people without transport supposed to put their garbage?

This is a business for the local garbage truck. It's the locals who are dumping this in order to get contract for their truck. I have seen this going on throughout the island. It first started in Green Land .
