Man held with 'Gun' in Road Town Tramp

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI - While the Road Town, '2018 Rise and Shine Tramp,' was peaceful, Police did take a male into custody on the morning of Monday August 7, 2018 around 7 AM.

According to reports, it was while conducting a routine search for cannabis, as the bands were between Scotia Bank and Administration Drive, in Road Town, that police ranks discovered a gun on the male. 

The type of gun was not immediately disclosed, according to National Security Officials, briefed on the matter and who spoke to our newsroom. 

Police subsequently obtained a search warrant for the man’s home, where ammunition was also found. 

He remains in police custody and is expected to be charged.

    While some of us can't get water running on our homes since last September, they got water in town playing with. Some of us can only find a gallon to throw over our skin

    Dumb, Lets hope the courts are not giving some slap on the wrist for this.We have strict gun laws and penalties walking around with a gun should mean years in jail as a deterent to other fools.
