‘Trade licenses for Non-Belongers typically go to Premier for approval’ - Hon Penn
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Opposition Leader Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1), expressing concern that a significant number of trade licenses were approved for Non-Belongers in certain sectors that should typically be reserved for locals, wanted to know during the First Sitting of the Third Session of the Third House of Assembly (HoA) on March 8, 2018 who is responsible for approving those licenses.
Sylvester wants explanation for non-issuance of trade licenses
GREENLAND, Tortola, VI - “We coming to you, the Premier whoever you are, we coming because you have to tell us why our people are not getting this trade license. If there is a reason we can fix it, but tell us what the problem is but we are hell-bent on increasing commerce in these Islands”, were the words of 8th District candidate Bevis Sylvester at a rally in Greenland on October 22, 2011.
