Election observers release 14 recommendations for future VI elections
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI – The Commonwealth Parliamentary Association (CPA) independent election observation mission has published 14 recommendations in their final report on the Virgin Islands (VI) 2023 General Elections, citing concerns over campaign financing and Belongership status among some issues in the Election.

VI’s electoral process gets “glorifying” remarks from observer mission
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- “The British Virgin Islands enjoys an enviable reputation of having a well-run electoral process and just as enviable for having a citizenry that believes in the fairness of that process. Such national confidence in the system allows for the free exchange of views that are the hallmark of a democratic process at work”, were the words of the Joint Observer Mission that came to the territory for the just concluded General Elections.
