Hon Vanterpool wants elected Reps to stop assisting persons financially
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Opposition legislator Honourable Mark H. Vanterpool (R4) has called for the $10,000 per month given to each District Representative to assist constituents, be instead channelled to the Social Development Department in the Ministry of Health.
deCastro questions purpose of Register of Interest Act
ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Donald deCastro, speaking on his radio programme ‘Night Talk’ aired November 15, 2011, has questioned the Register of Interest Act # 5 of 2006, which mandates members of the House of Assembly to declare their assets, since it is not a public document.
