USVI- Senators call for immediate water testing in STT-STJ District

FREDERIKSTED, St Croix, USVI- Anxiety caused by the discovery of heavy metal contamination in some areas of St Croix’s potable water system prompted several legislators on Friday, November 3, 2023, to urge the [US] VI Water and Power Authority to turn their attention to the St Thomas-St John district, over fears that residents on those islands may be facing the same issue.

Cline aka ‘Bishop’ has challenged government to give him $1M to have the issue permanently resolved.
High risk of waterborne illness from cistern water in USVI

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, St Thomas, USVI- Nine of 10 houses in the Virgin Islands rely on cistern water as the main residential water supply, a study conducted by the Virgin Islands Department of Health (VIDOH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention found.
