BAUGHERS BAY, Tortola, VI - Although the VI 'Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Act, 2020' was passed with amendments since June 30, 2020, in the Virgin Islands House of Assembly (HoA), the bill is yet to become law until it is assented to by the Governor of the Virgin Islands (VI).
Persons imprisoned for marijuana could be freed, records expunged- Hon Malone
DUFF'S BOTTOM, Tortola, VI - Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL) says with the passing of the VI 'Medicinal Cannabis Licensing Act, 2020', those who have been previously charged with marijuana possession and other related crimes could be freed once they can prove it was for medicinal use.
