Finally! Pockwood Pond Incinerator up & running

POCKWOOD POND, Tortola, VI – Following statements from Premier and Minister of Finance, Hon Andrew A. Fahie (R1) that the garbage and fire woes at the Pockwood pond facility in the Virgin Islands (VI) will soon be over, Minister for Health and Social Development, Hon Carvin Malone (AL), has indicated that the facility is now up and running at its optimum.

‘Incinerator will be back in operation after the holidays’- Hon Malone

ROAD TOWN, Tortola, VI- Residents of West End and other areas affected by frequent landfill fires at Pockwood Pond will have to endure for just a little while more as, according to Deputy Premier and Minister for Health and Social Development, Honourable Carvin Malone (AL), the solid waste incinerator will be back in operation after the holidays.
